I saw the northern lights over a pristine Icelandic lake. It was one of those rare moments where you feel like time has stopped and you are living in an alternate reality, filled with magic instead of mundane life problems.

Iceland is known for its beautiful natural phenomenon, the Northern Lights. The Aurora Borealis are created when electrically charged particles from solar winds interact with Earth's upper atmosphere and emit colorful lights in an arc-shape that resemble rippling water across the sky. If you plan to visit Iceland during winter or early spring, be sure to book accommodations at dark places away from city lights where northern light displays can best be seen!

It was a clear night and the stars were out in all their glory above this majestic waterfall. The northern lights danced through the sky, creating an ethereal scene as I stood there looking up at it with my mouth agape.

The mountain of Kirkjufell is located on the north side of Iceland and has a height over 4,000 feet. It's known as one of Iceland’s most picturesque mountains with its perfect cone-like shape rising high above sea level. The surrounding area also contains many other stunning waterfalls such as Svartifoss or black falls that are hidden within another beautiful glacier crater named Seljalandsfoss which you can view from behind safely since it doesn't have any hazardous cliffs around it to fall off from
The mountain for Kirkjufell in Icelandic is recognized by being called "the Mountain" because this name just fits perfectly into describing how magnificent and majestic this stony little kingdom looks especially when standing so close.

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a mesmerizing sight that you can see in Iceland. They're caused by particles from solar flares colliding with molecules of oxygen and nitrogen high up above earth's atmosphere. I love this photo but it’s even more impressive in person!

The Vestrahorn Volcano in Iceland is one of the most dangerous volcanoes on earth because it's made up primarily by basaltic lava that can flow very rapidly. The last eruption was recorded around 1727 and since then there have been no other eruptions associated with this volcano, which makes scientists think that another eruption may be imminent due to its high level of activity.
The deadliest and closest active volcanic region lies deep within a freezing wilderness north-west of Vatnajokull glacier: Volcanos called Hekla or Haxi (“chalk peak”). Iceland Vestrahorn
Iceland is a magical place. I spent 10 days there with 3 of my good friends riding around in a van and exploring most of the country. I’ll never forget this night when we sat under this magical display of the norther lights while eating a fresh caught bass for dinner. On this night we watching as the Milky Way presented itself across the arctic sky and then minutes later the northern lights came out and gave us a magical show. I just applied for a 3 week residency back in Iceland to capture the northern lights. I can’t wait to get back there one day to witness the magic of the northern lights.
