When I first arrived to Diamond Beach in Iceland, what struck me was how blue the water looked. The sand is black and volcanic rocks are scattered along some parts of it. It's one of those places that really makes you feel like you're on Mars or another planet with its vastness and emptiness; there isn't anyone around for miles except maybe a few birds flying overhead .
