Leica LUX App iOS

I've been using the Lux app now for a few weeks, and I can say I've been really enjoying using it. It's a $70/year subscription app, and I thought, "Wow, that's really expensive for what is essentially a Lightroom preset." But once I started using it, something connected with me. It mimics some of the Leica lenses, and frankly, the iOS camera app is just kind of boring and not that much fun to use. I mean, it takes great shots, but it's very utilitarian. The Leica app, however, makes me feel almost like I'm using a camera, a film camera at that. The final results are obviously styled, but it lets you mimic the distances and the aspect ratios of different Leica lenses, and I find that I'm taking a lot of really fun candid shots that look like they could be on film. When I send these shots to other people, my family, my friends, they all make the same comment, "These photos look great, and how did you take them?" I don't love the $70/year, and I'm not sure that I'll keep this app for more than a year, but right now I'm really enjoying it, and I think that it adds a lot of value to the phone you already have.
